Oh, gosh.
Katherine,
I think of the ladies
that bear your name-
like that chick
in our Shakespeare class-
who probably sympathizes
with Katherine of Padua,
jealous of the Binkies of the world-
What would I give to be the Binky
of my world-
Much like the other Katherine
I had in mind,
crawling over her siblings
in the pursuit of men
in uniform-
Maybe I don’t want to be like a
Binky or a Kitty
who wants a Wickham anyway?
I don’t.
But who doesn’t want a Levin?
Perhaps- there are a lot of
beautiful
Katherines (Katerinas)
in the world of letters and verbs,
but I have yet to quest upon one
who has sparked the
quality of you.
